Reflection on Informative tool
As per my understanding Informative tool refers to the amount of information gained by individuals through various formats of text, graphics, sounds, images, video and etc. to encourage learners to explore, think critically, develop research skills and to learn to integrate relevant information in teaching and learning. Furthermore, I feel that informative tool can provide learners the opportunity to analyze the information, further expand their knowledge and skills on the learning concept. Under the informative tool we learned about making the animation using all the elements of informative tool which Included the use of text, sound, image, graphics, and video to form the animation. I have used the topic of types of transportation to teach informative tool using the animation. The animation includes voice over as well to make the concept clear for the students. I used text to enhance the writing skills and communicate with the students of the VAK learning style. I used image as a visual representation and sound for deeper understanding. I feel that using animation as a tool can help the students to learn in the best possible way they want, and learning becomes more fun rather than just teaching the students theoretically. I feel that the animation I made falls under video-based learning as it integrates the learning experience facilitated through video animation and in turn, I feel this will improve learner retention, enable microlearning, makes content widely accessible and finally enables the students for on-demand learning. Lastly, I feel that with the shift in the education paradigm and we as future teachers we should know how informative tool can impact the students understanding and learning and we should implement it rather than using the rote learning of the traditional teaching.
